I am sad because I do not have many pictures of this event because my camera died at the beginning of the service. I can thank my sister in law Andi I copied these from her blog :) I wanted to post this anyway because it was such a big day! For the past year and ½ Chris has been taking classes at the Catholic Church to try and understand what I believed, and what the kids were learning in class every Sunday more in depth! Chris will be the first to say he started the classes for me, but continued going to them because he became more and more interested. In January Chris came to me and said I need to talk to you! Chris is not a big talker so I was taken by surprise. He told me how happy these classes he had been going to made him, and how he loved the feeling he had about his choice of becoming Catholic. He told me it was something that he truly believed in and he has not had that in his life for a very long time! I told Chris that this was not something he had to do to me, and he started laughing at me (talk about a bruised ego). He told me he was doing this 100% for himself! I won’t go into the whole conversation it is a long one, but I will say it was really amazing to look into his eyes and see something I have never seen before! Chris was baptized and confirmed into the Catholic Church the night before Easter. Chris was very happy to have mine and some of his family come and support his decision. Chris’ Mom, brother Jdub, our sister in law Andi, my mom and my dad were able to share this special night with him. Congratulations Chris I am so proud of you and know you will continue following your path that has been made for you!!
