Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis

Each month Hope's class has to do a book report. For the month of February they had to read a bibliography and dress up as the person they learned about. Hope picked Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. Hope really enjoyed herself on this project! Chris and I loved listening to all the information and fun facts she learned. After Hope was all dressed up I could not believe how much she resembled Jacki O! She looked so darn cute!!

Challenge 30 I DID IT!!

Just for the record I think this is a very odd question to end this challenge, but whatever! Like I have said I LOVE music! I have so many songs that I say oh this is my favorite!(Chris makes fun of me because he says I say it to every song!) I think if I had to narrow it down to three they would be..
1. Everything by Lifehouse. This is Chris' and my song from dating and our wedding it means the world to me!!
2. The Rose by Bette Midler. this song was played at my Grandma Mabel's funeral. I loved her so much! Grandma Mabel is my Dad's mom, and even though we were brought together through my mom and dad getting married she loved me as if she had been there since the day I was born. She was a remarkable woman. She was so loving, kind, funny, sweet, and talented! My list could go on and on I really love her! I have so many fond memories of our time together. I loved sleeping at her house and spending my off track time with her at the school she was a teacher aid at! We would always laugh because when I would go to school with her people would always say I looked just like her! She always called me her little sugar plum. I wish my children were able to meet her she was an amazing grandma!
***on a side note mom I now think of other things when I think of this song too :) ** Love You!
3. The Good Stuff by Kenny Chesney. I LOVE all his songs, but this one is amazing! We all take for granted the small things in life and this song reminds us of that!

Well it has been fun! Thank you for reading and all your comments! I am looking forward to doing a little catch up now on what has been happening in the crazy world of the Wright's!!

Challenge 29

What have I learned this past month (really two) of my life......
I have learned this challenge took me much longer than a month! :)
I have learned being in charge at a job is not fun :)
I have learned that I was so much smarter when I was younger..school as an adult is hard!
I have learned that Hope is growing up to fast! She is such a beautiful young lady. I wont lie years 8, 9, and 10 were hard for our mother daughter friendship, but she now knows how super cool I am and Hope and I have a lot of fun together.
I have learned Brady is smarter than me! I hate checking his homework. It never fails I mark one wrong that is correct and he just loves to rub it in my face. Brady said when he grows up he wants to be as smart as Papa and Google :)
I have learned that Princess Zoey knows she is a princess and wants the world to know it! She thinks she can do no wrong and loves to now blame other people for things she has done!
I have learned that Zoey loves to play games with the grandparents...at home the screaming has stopped (for those of you who do not know Zoey is a natural born high pitch oh my god are you kidding me screamer!) but at Mammie and Papa;s and Nana and Oompa's she is still doing it! I really think it is happening because she is jealous and does not want to share Mammie, Papa, Nana, and Oompa with the other grand kids, but it is driving me and everyone else involved CrAzY!! If anyone has any ideas on how to make this stop I would live to know! I don't think anyone believes me, but really I never hear it anymore unless we are over at the grandparents!
I have learned sleep is an important thing!! I have always said sleep is over rated, but this is not the case any longer! Maybe it is because I am getting older, but this crazy working graves and only getting 3 hours of sleep some night is nuts!
I have learned that I am a jealous person! I really have always know this, but lately It has come out of me! I keep this emotion locked up so no one sees this side of me, but it is killing me on the inside!
I have learned that my patience towards stupidity is not as strong as it used to be! There are a lot of dumb ignorant selfish people in this world and I am throwing the towel in on trying to be what they all want me to be because...
Most of all I have learned I like me! I have never been able to say this! Even though I do not like the outer me as much I really do like the me inside!
It makes me super happy I can honestly say I like me!! (minus the added weight!!) :)

Challenge 28

I will not be posting pictures on this post! I want to wait until I have lost my weight!! I will toot my own horn for a moment and just say I decided to get back on track, get my butt in gear, eat better, not drink soda, and exercise a whole heck of a lot more and in two weeks I have lost 9 pounds!! TOOT TOOT!! I know it is only 9, but it is a start and I am excited for more to come off, and more importantly stay off and be healthier!!

Challenge 27

I started this challenge because I wanted to get back into blogging. I continued this challenge because I am not a quitter. Yes it took me much longer than 30 days but I finished :) I am not sad at all that this challenge is over! Don't get me wrong I did enjoy it, but like I have said before I would much rather blog about my sweet family and everyday life again! Thank you all who followed me on this 30 post challenge it has been great!

Challenge 26

My Friends mean the world to me and I take my friendships very serious! I would do anything for a friend. Because of this I have found who my true friends are and who are just there to use me! A special thanks to all my true friends I love you!

Don't walk behind me; I may not lead. Don't walk in front of me; I may not follow. Just walk beside me and be my friend.
Albert Camus

Friendship... is not something you learn in school. But if you haven't learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven't learned anything.
Muhammad Ali

I value the friend who for me finds time on his calendar, but I cherish the friend who for me does not consult his calendar.
Robert Brault

Lots of people want to ride with you in the limo, but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down.

Oprah Winfrey

Never explain - your friends do not need it and your enemies will not believe you anyway.

Elbert Hubbard

The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing... not healing, not curing... that is a friend who cares.
Henri Nouwen

Challenge 25

My purse is like Marry Poppins carpet bag just not as big! I am not kidding!! You name it I have it! Gum, wipes, cough drops, hand sanitizer, water bottle, an extra pair of panties for Zoey, hair ties, brush, make up, receipts, a must have chap stick, movie stubs, mail, medication, protein bars, Tylenol, tissues, Aunt Flow products, subway card, Nook Color, any miscellaneous items given to me by the kids or hubby that day, and on a special occasion money :) I have everything I ever need in my purse, but knowing where it is at all times is 100% a different story!!

Challenge 24 Part B

Mom-a-cita

There are no words to explain my love for you! You are my mom, my best friend, my hero! Thank you for loving me and teaching me to be the best person I can be. We have been through a lot together, and I know that in all my hard times I would of never made it through without you and in my good time I would not have been as happy if you were not there to share them with me. Thank you for all your love and support you mean the world to me I don't know what I would ever do without you! Thank you for being there for my kids as well!
They all love you so very much!! (at times I think more than me :) )
I found a poem I would like to share with you.
When I saw it I truly thought of you!

Super Mom
Mom, you're a wonderful mother,
So gentle, yet so strong.
The many ways you show you care
Always make me feel I belong.
You're patient when I'm foolish;
You give guidance when I ask;
It seems you can do most anything;
You're the master of every task.
You're a dependable source of comfort;
You're my cushion when I fall.
You help in times of trouble;
You support me whenever I call.
I love you more than you know;
You have my total respect.
If I had my choice of mothers,
You'd be the one I'd select!
By Joanna Fuchs

I love you

Love

Kimbo :)

Challenge 24 Part A

Daddy-O

Growing up I never really understood how lucky I was to have you. I knew I loved you and I knew you loved me, but it was not until I was older that I knew how lucky I was. Thank you for wanting to be my dad and for all of your unconditional love. I know at times I drove you and mom crazy, but you never gave up on me! You never turned your back on me or walked away. You are not just my dad you are one of my best friends! I look up to you and love that my kids do too. I think I am one of the luckiest people in the world because you chose to love me and never stopped! I can't thank you enough for all you have done for me.
I found this poem and it made me think of you!

Thank you Dad
for always being there
for being strong
yet showing you cared.
For being my protector
and setting the rules
for the rides, the money,
and the help with school.
For all the times I was grounded
for my own good
I may not have been happy,
but I always understood
that I am lucky
to be one of the few
to have a Dad that loves me
as much as you do.

Love

Kimbo Sabi :)

Challenge #17

I could be silly with this post and say I would switch with Kenny’s current girl toy, but in all honesty If I could change places with someone for one day I truly think it would be Michelle Obama, and no Chris this is not because then I would be married to a black man( for those who don't know this was always my dream :) ). It is because I truly believe Michelle is a remarkable woman. She is strong, beautiful, smart, and very intelligent. I love the fact that she quit her job as a lawyer to have a career in public service, working to empower young people to volunteer in their communities. She chose to do this because she believes that each of us no matter what our age or background or walk of life has something to contribute to the life of this nation. She cares about our country and our children. I love when I when watching the Disney channel with the kids and she comes on to talk about smart healthy snacks, drinking water, and exercise. I think it would be a very special opportunity to live her life and see the world through her eyes. I know some of you read this and are thinking “uggg a Democrat”, but I look at her and think an amazing woman. I think we all need to take labels off everyone and choose to like or dislike someone for who they are not for what their label says they are!

I thought it would be fun to include some quotes from Michelle. Enjoy!!

And let's be clear: It's not enough just to limit ads for foods that aren't healthy. It's also going to be critical to increase marketing for foods that are healthy.
Michelle Obama

As a mom, I know it is my responsibility, and no one else's, to raise my kids. But we have to ask ourselves, what does it mean when so many parents are finding their best efforts undermined by an avalanche of advertisements aimed at our kids.
Michelle Obama

Even if we give parents all the information they need and we improve school meals and build brand new supermarkets on every corner, none of that matters if when families step into a restaurant, they can't make a healthy choice.
Michelle Obama

One of the lessons that I grew up with was to always stay true to yourself and never let what somebody else says distract you from your goals. And so when I hear about negative and false attacks, I really don't invest any energy in them, because I know who I am.
Michelle Obama

We all need to start making some changes to how our families eat. Now, everyone loves a good Sunday dinner. Me included. And there's nothing wrong with that. The problem is when we eat Sunday dinner Monday through Saturday.
Michelle Obama

For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country. And not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change. And I have been desperate to see our country moving in that direction.
Michelle Obama
