Elko and Eureka

Chris's grandma passed away this past Sunday, so Monday we headed down to Elko to say our goodbyes. It was a vary sad couple of days, but we all know she is in a better place now. It is always sad that it is the bad situations that bring people together, but it is always good to see family you do not get to see on a regular basis. It was good to see Chris' aunts and cousin Edna as wells as one of the newest members to the family baby Thomas (Edna's handsome baby boy). It was a very short trip, but Chris and I were very happy to be with family during this hard time.

Nana 1/2 of Oompa and the kids at breakfast
before we all went to say our goodbyes to Grandma Wright

Since we were in Nevada on Wednesday we decided to head to Eureka to see Nana's cousin Donna. The kids just call her Aunt Donna. They loved working in her diner for a night, and riding on the 4 wheeler. It was a good way to put a smile on all of our faces after a long day. Thank you Donna for having us!!

Bless Hope's little heart she was so sick the entire trip, but was such a little trooper. She tried with all her might to keep smiling, and to try to make everyone happy. Brady is still a little to young to completely understand what was going on so he was his hyper self the whole trip, well that is until Wednesday morning when he started throwing up. It made the trip back very long. Having two sick kids and a sweet little baby getting really tired of being in her car seat made a 4 1/2 hour trip an almost 6 1/2 hour trip :(

Even though she was so sick
she was still as cute as could be!Brady playing his psp and wearing his ghost busters shirt.
He said he had to wear it so Grandma Wright knew
he was not scared of her or her ghost, and that he still loved her!
I just love the way his little mind works.
Zoey thought the hotel was cool.... So much new stuff to get into!

Hope and Brady with what Brady called the
coolest fake man ever!
It was a wooden cowboy in our hotel in Elko
By the end of two very long days Zoey was ready to just go home!!

Build A Bear Workshop

At least once a year my mom aka Mammie takes the kids to Build-A-Bear. This year she took them for their Valentine’s presents. It is always fun to watch them get so excited. This was the first time Zoey really understood what was going on. She loves stuffed animals, and if it was up to her she would have had them all. Zoey picked a pink monkey with hearts. Hope and Mammie decided to name it Pinky. Brady had a hard time deciding. He wanted a High School Musical bear, or a floppy ear Dog. He picked the dog, and dressed him in a skateboard shirt, skates, and a helmet. He decided to name him skate. Hope loves monkeys and frogs so she decided on a St. Patrick’s frog and dressed her in a fancy St Patrick’s dress and fancy black shoes. Hope named her frog Lucky Lucy. It was a fun day! The kids all had a blast!

She liked it until Hope pushed
the button to make air blow on her!
Even though she did not like getting the air blown on her
She did like giving pinky the monkey a bath.

Actress in the making

I was cleaning the kitchen and listening to Zoey mumble and laugh to herself in the family room. She was loud and it was really cute. She suddenly was really quiet (which is not like anyone in my family) so I checked on her. She had what I thought fallen asleep on the blankets. She looked so cute I just had to take a picture. As soon as the flash went off she popped her head up and smiled. She was awake the whole time!! She looked at me and just started laughing really hard. I started to laugh, so she of course she kept doing it over and over. I can not wait to see Zoey's personality as she grows up. She is such a little ham now it will be fun to see what type of things she'll be doing when she decides to walk and talk (with words that not only we can understand!)

President Hope

For a class project Hope had to write a paper on what she would do if she was the President of the United States. This is what she wrote:

If I were president of the United States I would be free and fair, and I would want to paint the White House red white and blue. There woud be no hunting, and I would also like to have a movie theater in it and a swimming pool.

When I read this paper it really made me smile. I am so proud of her and so thankful she is so sweet and innocent. Wouldn’t life be so simple for all of us if the only thing our country had to worry about was what color the White House was going to be painted??

Redneck Valentines Day

As A family (except for Zoey because we thought it would be way loud) we went to Monster Trucks Valentines night. It was a lot of fun to see the kids get so excited. Hope's Favorite was a truck called Blue Thunder and Brady's was Backwards Bob. All night Brady wanted one to roll over, and by the end of the night two of them did. I thought it was scary and sad, but I think I was the only one because it seemed the more the truck got hurt the more the crowd cheered. Thank you Mammie for getting us tickets Brady said it was one of his best nights ever :)

Heart Day

Brady had a fun Valentines Day. In his kindergarten class they had a "Fancy Day." It was so cute all the kids dressed really cute. Brady looked so handsome he was fancy from head to... well not toe because he insisted that he still got to wear his cowboy boots. I have learned that I choose my battles wisely so the cowboy boots stayed!! :) He did think it was so cool that he got to wear a vest and a tie. He told us he was daddy's twin, and if he went to daddy's work nobody would know who was who. After school when he got off the bus he was even cuter then when he left. In class they made Big heart valentines that wore. It had such a cute poem on it that said

There's a valentine

Standing at your door

I'm one of a kind

You can't buy me at the store

I have something for you

That you wont want to miss.

Just pucker up

And give me a

GREAT BIG KISS!

I loved it! I thought it was such a cute idea!!

Heart Day!!

This year for school Hope had to make a Valentine box she was very excited for this since every other year she has just made a bag in class. Hope decided to make a love bug box, and it was really fun to watch her imagination run wild as she made it! She put a lot of hard work into it, and it was no surprise to us when she turned it into a learning experience. She explained to us that you can tell how old a bug is by the # of spots on him or her. It impresses me how smart she is sometimes. After her box was made she started filling out all of her valentines, and I asked her if she was going to do a special one for any boy? She got so upset with me because in her word boys are yucky, and they have nasty germs! The only boy I like mom is Jo Jonas. I have to tell you I love the cooties stage. I just hope cooties stay around for at least 10 more years!!

Hope-A-Chino

HOPE
Hope is such a sweet (not so) little girl. I can not believe she is now 9 going on 21. She has the biggest heart and cares for everyone and everything. She will go out of her way to make sure everyone in the world is happy. We have to remind her she is just a little girl and does not have to solve the world’s problems at the age of 9. She has always been a little worry wart, and makes us laugh at all of the things she worries about. Not only is she beautiful she is so so smart and talented. She wants to be a veterinarian and an artist when she grows up, and I know if she puts her mind and heart to it she will. Our little Hope is going to conquer the world!

Brady Boo

BRADY
Brady is one of the funniest people I have ever met! He has an imagination that would blow you away! He keeps me on my toes 24 hours a day, and I would not have it any other way. He is in kindergarten this year and surprises me everyday with how smart he is. He has a great love for sports, and really likes to go to games. He is the cute loud person in the crowd that everyone turns and looks at! Ever since Brady was 3 he has told me that he was going to be in his words a baby doctor, but not anymore :( he now tells me he is going to be a break dancer, and practices all the time no matter where we are at... home, Wal-mart, church ... you name it :) Brady has a big heart and treats everyone as if they were his best friend.. I wish more people could be like him :)

Princess Zoey

PRINCESS ZOEY
Zoey is getting so big! She is now 17 months old! Even though she is not walking yet she finds a way to get into EVERYTHING, and I swear she is the fastest crawler ever. Brady calls her turbo baby since she is so fast. She is such a happy little girl with no worry in the world. She loves music and playing pat-a-cake. It is really funny because she is a little worry wart like her big sister if anyone is sad she also gets upset, and a little ham like her brother. She is already saying what we think is cheese and striking little poses whenever she sees a camera. Zoey really lights up the room with her smile and cute little laugh!

Kim

KIM
Most of you know I do not do pictures,
so this is what you get.. a wii version of me :)
I am currently staying at home with the kids. I love spending all the quality time with them, but I truly believe being a stay at home mommy is one of the hardest, but most rewarding jobs. I have gone back to school to get my teaching degree. Being a teacher is my dream, and even though school is much harder the 2nd time around I know it will be worth it! In my free time I have a new found love for board games, and play them every chance I get. It does not matter what we are doing I just love spending time with my kids and the hubby they are the best!

Chris

CHRIS
I could not have asked for a better partner in life! He is an amazing husband, and the worlds best Daddy! Chris works for Everest College as an admissions Rep, and he loves it! His work schedule is somewhat crazy, but we make it work, and I love that he is happy and truly loves his job! Chris has taken advantage of continuing his education, and all for free!! (The perks for working for a college) Chris decided that he wanted to take classes at the Catholic church this past fall so he could truly understand what I believe, and he is really enjoying them. Other than that Chris spends most of his free time with the kids, being a silly daddy, and with me, being an awesome hubby! I love you Chris thank you for all you do!!
